Jason Momoa Murder Mystery Film The Executioner Lands at Warner Bros.
Warner Bros. has landed the rights to the upcoming Jason Momoa murder mystery film The Executioner. The film was part of an intense bidding war among studios for the film written by Eternals’ writers Kaz and Ryan Firpo.
Momoa has seen immense success since blowing into stardom after his role in HBO‘s Game of Thrones. He has been a target of many projects including The upcoming live-action Minecraft film, Fast X, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and a buddy action film in which he will be starring alongside Dave Bautista.
No plot details for the film have been released but it is described as “a fun action murder mystery in the spirit of Knives Out meets The Lord of the Rings.” The film will be produced by Warner Bros.’ Peter Safran. The Executioner does not have a director attached to the project or a release date yet but with a studio in the mix, more updates should begin to roll out in due time.
