New Hocus Pocus 2 Trailer Will Put A Spell On You
D23 conjured more excitement for the highly-anticipated sequel that will see the Sanderson Sisters return in Hocus Pocus 2. It’s been thirty years since the Sanderson sisters last conjured up some magic. The new trailer gives fans a look at how the trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will once again return this Halloween season.

The new trailer takes fans back to the very beginning in the 1600s where we see the sisters banished from Salem as they are accused of practicing witchcraft. As the sisters travel alone, a mysterious stranger comes to them with a gift. A book of spells that we are all too familiar with from the first film. We then are taken to the present and see the shopkeeper once again, played by Sam Richardson, who gifts a sixteen-year-old the black candle.
The film’s official synopsis reads:
“It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.”
In the original film, Hocus Pocus, “A young teen moves to Salem, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of diabolical witches that were executed in the 17th century.”
Alongside Midler, Parker, and Najimy, we will have Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Tony Hale, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Guiterrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen joining the sequel’s cast. We also have Doug Jones reprising his role as William “Billy” Butcherson.
Hocus Pocus 2 will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 30th, 2022. Check out the new trailer below:
