Disenchanted Trailer Reveals the Happily Never After Coming to Disney+ This November
The D23 Expo revealed the first trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel Disenchanted. The 2007 film Enchanted did just that to fans and earned critical acclaim as it brought an imaginative musical twist to the world of fairytales. Almost 15 years since the film premiered, they look to do it again as the sequel looks to enchant audiences once more.
In the trailer, we catch up with Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert(Patrick Dempsey) as they move to a suburban neighborhood to begin a chapter of their new life with their family which includes Morgan (Gabriella Baldacchino) and the new baby. In what should be a fairy tale ending, Giselle has yet to feel the magic of a happily ever after in the much more real world than in Andalaisa. Giselle takes matters into her own hands but as all fairy tales have shown, be careful what you wish for.
Disney‘s synopsis for Disenchanted reads:
“Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle (Adams), Robert (Dempsey), and Morgan (Gabriella Baldacchino) move to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe (Rudolph), who has nefarious intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle wishes that their lives were the perfect fairy tale. The spell backfires, with Giselle rushing to save her family and her homeland of the kingdom of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.”
Also starring in the film are James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Yvette Nicole Brown, Maya Rudolph, Oscar Nunez, Jayma Mays, Ann Harada, Michael McCorry Rose, James Monroe Iglehart, Kolton Stewart. The film is helmed by Adam Shankman from a script penned by Davis N. Weiss, Jessie Nelson, and J. David Stem from a story provided by Shankman.
