Inside Out 2 is Officially in Development at Pixar

Pixar made a huge announcement during the D23 Expo as they announced that Inside Out 2 is officially in development. It’s been almost a decade since we saw Inside Out grace theaters which introduced us to Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) who is reeling from the emotions of a big move and life in a whole new city with her parents.

We get a deep look into the inner workings of our emotions, at least by Pixar and Walt Disney Studios standards as we see the full array of emotions as living beings and led by Joy who all attempt to make Riley’s life run smoothly with a healthy dose of emotions. The film takes us on a tear-jerking journey full of life lessons and now we return for a sequel of the hit film!

Pete Docter returns to helm Inside Out 2 with Amy Poehler likely to reprise her role of Joy. The original film also starred Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Richard Kind, with other voice talents of Rashida Jones, Paula Poundstone, Bobby Moynihan, Paula Pell, Frank Oz, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Flea. With the current plot for the sequel under wraps, it’s unknown who will return for the film.

Inside Out 2 will arrive in 2024. Stay tuned as more information is revealed.
