Secret Invasion Trailer Reveals Nick Fury as the Last Person Standing Against the Skrull
Disney‘s D23 Expo featured big news from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Fox, and among the biggest reveals came the first trailer for the Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Don Cheadle took the stage to reveal the official trailer for the series.
The trailer featured Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) as he returns to planet Earth with Skrull General Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Upon their return, Agent Hill (Colbie Smulders) tells Fury that it has been years since he left with numerous attempts made to reach him. The Skrull are now a threat and not the friendly beings we saw in Captain Marvel and have infiltrated Earth. Fury is seen speaking with James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) with Fury posing the question, how much does War Machine trust his own security?
The series will also star Olivia Colman, Emilia Clarke, Kingsley Ben Adir, Christopher McDonald, Martin Freeman, Killian Scott, Dermot Mulroney, Carmen Ejogo, and Regé-Jean Page. Whether the series will see the expansive lineup of Marvel heroes show up remains to be seen but expect them to make an appearance unless this is just the beginning of a much larger event taking place in the MCU.
Secret Invasion is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ in 2023.
