Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Will Take Players To Feudal Japan
While Ubisoft focused heavily on giving fans news on the next mainline game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. They also dropped a little nugget of a teaser for Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. The next mainline entry which will likely follow Mirage is set to take players on a full Shinobi open-world PRG adventure set in Feudal Japan.
Fans have been very vocal about hopes for an Assassin’s Creed game set in this time period and Ubisoft has listened. During the Ubisoft Forward stream, they released a small teaser and promised a full “shinobi fantasy.” They also confirmed this will be the next flagship title in the franchise and will be developed by Ubisoft Quebec who developed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red does not currently have a release date. Stay tuned as more information is revealed in the future.
