Assassin’s Creed Mirage Reveal Trailer Released, Arriving in 2023
Ubisoft has released the reveal trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The next entry in the long-running franchise from the studio. The reveal trailer confirmed the leaks leading up to the Ubisoft Forward stream that showed much of what’s to come from Mirage including the game’s lead, location, and much more.
The Ubisoft Forward stream confirmed that players will take on the role of the master assassin from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Basim. This time around, he won’t be the master assassin we know but rather a young thief in the streets of Baghdad, Iraq during the year 861 as he stumbles upon the Hidden Ones. Basim will fall under the mentorship of Roshan who will look to polish the street thief into an apprentice and the master assassin we know.
We also got confirmation on rumors of Ubisoft looking to take some steps back to a more original take on the franchise which would give players a more original feel rather than the massive open-world we have become accustomed to in the RPGs’ latest entries. Mirage will be inspired by the first entry in the franchise and players can expect to not see the sprawling maps, multiple quest lines and side quests, and multicolored loot.
The new title will be a narrative-driven linear game and focus heavily on stealth, parkour, and assassinations. With that in mind, Mirage will feature a new parkour animation. The new animation will include a new pole vault maneuver and familiar animations such as the corner swing and the endless climbing we are accustomed to. Ubisoft aims to provide players with the smoothest and most fluid parkour animations in the series.

Basim will progress through the ranks of the Hidden Ones throughout the game and will give players new skills that will help during our quest to take on the Order of the Ancients. Players will also have different tools and weapons at their disposal including throwing knives, blow darts, mines, noisemakers, smoke bombs, and the infamous hidden blade.
Lastly, players will have access to black box missions. These will give players the chance to visit Alamut Castle which serves as the Hidden Ones’ Persian fortress that has been mentioned before but will be seen in-game for the first time. These missions will let players get target assignments on behalf of the Hidden Ones and while you take these assignments on or work towards taking down the Order of the Ancients, players will have Enkidu at their disposal. The Aquila Heliaca eagle will be the players’ eyes in the sky.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not have an official release date but is expected to release in 2023.
