Toxx: Welcome To A World Where Humanity’s Future Is In Question
Wolven Press has launched a brand new series titled Toxx. The upcoming series shows a radiated planet Earth with the human race all but eradicated. Just as humanity’s future is in question, a woman finds herself pregnant.
Wolven Press’ description of Toxx reads:
“Thirty years ago the ozone layer weakened, allowing radiation to pummel the Earth– killing billions, accelerating evolution and mutation, and rendering the human race sterile. But against all odds, a woman miraculously becomes pregnant and must find a way to stay alive as multiple groups vie for control of her and her unborn child’s future.”
Speaking of what sparked the creation of Toxx, Carothers shared:
“During the recent pandemic, I went through the surreal experience of bringing a child into the world–an experience both beautiful and terrorizing. My wife and I felt helpless to the panic of the world, cut off from our families, and fearful of the world our child would inherit.
That life-altering experience inspired me to create the story TOXX – where the world is an actualdystopian wasteland – where the sun itself is poisoning the world with radiation and humanity has long since been sterilized.”
The series was written and created by Evan Carothers and is co-written by Eric Palicki, with art by Ben Worrell, colors by Marta Gasperoni, and editor James Emmett. The Kickstarter project is currently live with issues #1 & #2 of the five-issue series. You can find the project exclusively on Kickstarter now.
