Sony Pictures and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have revealed the title for the third entry in the Spider-Verse films. Audiences at CinemaCon were also treated to the first 15 minutes of Across the Universe. During the panel, the producers also noted that the film will feature 240 characters specifically compared to the 40 characters in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. They also shared that the film will take place across the previously mentioned six different universes which all begins on Earth-65, which is the universe Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) calls home. After getting word of Vulture’s attack on the Guggenheim Museum, she swings into action to take on Vulture and encounters Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac).

Spider-Man 2099 is seemingly unhappy with the hole left in the universe by Spider-Gwen that has let villains through to other dimensions. This venture leads Spider-Gwen to Miles Morales’ (Shameik Moore) universe, where she encounters a pregnant Spider-Woman (Issa Rae). Lord and Miller also noted the new release date that pushed the film out of the 2022 slate of film releases into June 2023 after its recently announced delay with them wrapping it up by announcing the previously titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse II was now titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
