Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Delayed, Now Swinging into Theaters in 2023
Sony Pictures has announced that the highly-anticipated sequel to the animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been delayed. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will now swing into theaters eight months later than originally planned, pushing it into 2023.
Sony Pictures has already confirmed that the upcoming live-action Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web films will arrive in 2023 and now the sequel to the 2018 animated film will join those films in next year’s lineup. Along with that, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part II will also see a shift with its release now coming on March 29th, 2024.
We still have not gotten much about the film and with the delay, it could be longer before we start to see any details start to be released. We do know that Shameik Moore will reprise his role of Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld will return to voice Gwen Stacy, and Jake Johnson will reprise his role as Peter B. Parker. They will be joined by Oscar Isaac who will voice Spider-Man 2099 and Issa Rae who will voice Spider-Woman.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will now hit theaters on June 2nd, 2023. Stay tuned for more updates.
