Smile Trailer Reveals Creepy Horror and Smiles That Kill
Paramount Pictureshas released a trailer for the upcoming horror film Smile. The trailer shows an unsettling course of events as Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) is pulled into a mysterious series of occurrences that leads to a patient’s death. Dr. Cotter then begins to see the unnerving grins that have led to many deaths as it’s revealed in the trailer. Whether reality, an entity, or psychological, Dr. Cotter has only a short time to discover what is bringing these haunting smiles into her life before it’s too late.
The trailer description reads:
“After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, Dr. Rose Cotter (Sosie Bacon) starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past in order to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.”
The film is an adaptation of the short film Laura Hasn’t Slept by Parker Finn. The 2020 short film earned a Midnight Award at the SXSW Film Festival and was met with critical acclaim. The film adaptation is also written and helmed by Finn. The film also stars Kyle Gallner, Jessie T. Usher, Robin Weigert, Kal Penn, Rob Morgan, and the star of the original short film Caitlin Stasey who is featured in the film.
