There is a second trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. We don’t get a lot of new information about the movie from it, but it does show a few different scenes, like Claire hitchhiking with the trucker who hits the zombie from the beginning of Resident Evil 2.

They have apparently made Claire from Raccoon City, and while this deviates from the games, it makes for an interesting raising of the stakes for Claire. This also makes it more plausible that Claire would be looking into the suspicious activity from Umbrella and their above-the-law schemes.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City takes place on a fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998, “once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.”

The movie was directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night), and the cast includes Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Lily Gao, Tom Hopper, and Avan Jogia, with Donal Logue and Neal McDonough.
