First Road House Trailer Packs a Punch for Jake Gyllenhaal-Led Reboot
Prime Video recently unveiled the first trailer for the film, Road House, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role made famous by Patrick Swayze. In this reimagining, Gyllenhaal portrays Dalton, a retired UFC fighter turned bouncer, facing the unexpected challenges within a seemingly peaceful roadhouse in the Florida Keys.

The storyline revolves around Dalton’s clashes with a corrupt local businessman who holds a firm grip on the community. As the plot unfolds, Gyllenhaal’s character delves into the hidden realities of this supposed paradise.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including former UFC champion Conor McGregor in his debut acting role, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almeida, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp, Darren Barnet, and Dominique Columbus round out the cast.

Road House is set to a theater release and premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 21st, 2024. The decision to forgo a theatrical release led to director Doug Liman expressing disappointment in Amazon’s approach in an op-ed at Deadline.
