This announcement was made via a video posted on X/Twitter, where Oda also teased the introduction of the crew’s doctor, Chopper.

The first season of the Netflix One Piece series was a success, receiving positive reviews and winning over the fanbase. The renewal for a second season is well-deserved as it has been one of the truest adaptations of an anime to live-action to date.

Based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, ONE PIECE is a legendary high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, ONE PIECE, to become King of the Pirates!

But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he’s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.

The series stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. As one of the most popular manga and anime series. It has garnered an extensive library of chapters and episodes but has crafted a pirate adventure that is well worth setting a voyage on. Even at over 1,000 episodes, it has yet to show any signs of fatigue and continues to be one of the most beloved series around. If this is a daunting feat to take on which nobody could blame you for, then the live-action stepping stone being set by Netflix could be the perfect place for you to embark on this journey.

The live-action series should also give longtime fans a brand-new experience as the world of One Piece literally comes to life with a variety of jaw-dropping set pieces that should make for a remarkable experience of this legendary anime brought to life.
