New Chainsaw Man Trailer Prepares Fans for the Bloody Devils Coming to Crunchyroll
Crunchyroll has released a new trailer for the upcoming horror-action anime Chainsaw Man. Crunchyroll acquired the rights to the popular manga series of the same name which is written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
The series follows a teenager who is brought back to life and has chainsaws in replacement of arms. This is a world where Devils exist and out that comes the need for Devil Hunters. Both seek to destroy each other and as Devils are born out of the fear of humans, their existence seems endless. The protagonist of the series named Denji is betrayed and forms a deal with his pet Devil named Pochita who saves his life and out of that contract, Chainsaw Man is born.
Check out Chainsaw Man’s official synopsis below:
“Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.”
Chainsaw Man is directed by Ryū Nakayama from a screenplay written by Hiroshi Seko and character designs by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, art direction by Yusuke Takeda, and music composed by Kensuke Ushio.
Chainsaw Man will release in October of 2022 and is set to adapt the manga’s Public Safety Arc which makes up Part 1 of the manga series. Part 2 of the manga series is still currently ongoing. When the anime is released, it will offer dubs in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, and German.
