Netflix Renews Sweet Magnolias for Season 3
Netflix announced that they have renewed their popular romance drama Sweet Magnolias for season 3. Variety reported that series stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, and Heather Headley are set to reprise their roles of Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen.

The series logline reads:
“Sweet Magnolias centers around three best friends (Maddie, Helen, and Dana Sue) born and raised in Serenity, SC, a small southern town where everybody knows everybody and everybody knows everybody’s business.”
Sheryl J. Anderson makes her return to the series as series showrunner and will executive produce alongside Dan Paulson. The series is adapted from the novels by best-selling author Sherryl Woods who also serves as executive producer on the series.
Paulson said in a statement regarding the season 3 renewal:
“We’re thrilled to be embarking on our third season for Netflix, and we’re looking forward to returning to Serenity”.
The series has been a beacon of success at the streamer and a season renewal was expected but Netflix is all but predictable, and the season 2 cliffhanger is on many fans’ minds as they eagerly await another season. The wait continues but I am sure fans will be happy to know that they will get a resolution to the events that unfolded in the season 2 finale.
