Cobra Kai Season 5 Trailer Reveals Release Date, The Cobra Kai Empire Arrives Later This Year
Netflixhas revealed a teaser trailer and release date for Cobra Kai season 5. The reveal came during their panel at the Netflix is a Joke Festival and to fans’ surprise, the upcoming season is arriving much sooner than expected with a September release date announced.
The upcoming season will focus on the aftermath of the previous season’s events that led to Miyagi-Do Karate closing its doors for good and Terry Silver fulfilling his promise of ranching the Cobra Kai dojo and putting the “no mercy” mentality of Cobra Kai on a wider spectrum, seemingly across the entire state of California.
The official synopsis reads:
“Following the shocking results of the All Valley Tournament, Terry Silver is expanding the Cobra Kai empire and trying to make his “No Mercy” style of karate the only game in town. With Kreese behind bars and Johnny Lawrence setting karate aside to focus on repairing the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso must call on an old friend for help.”
The series is created and written by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg. The series stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Thomas Ian Griffith, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, Martin Kove, Dallas Dupree Young, Oona O’Brien, and Griffin Santopietro.
