MultiVersus Gameplay Trailer Reveals Open Beta Release Date

Player First Games and Warner Bros. Games have released a gameplay trailer for their upcoming free-to-play brawler MultiVersus. The devs have already given us previous gameplay demonstrations, along with a cinematic trailer.

The upcoming platform brawler has boasted an expansive roster with characters including Batman, Bugs Bunny, Arya Stark, Taz the Looney Tunes Tazmanian Devil, The Iron Giant, and Velma from Scooby-Doo, plus many more. Now we also know when players will get their first taste as the new gameplay trailer reveals the date of the upcoming open beta.

A closed alpha test is set to take place from May 19th through May 27th. Those players who participated in the closed alpha test will have access to the Early Access period that begins on July 19th, 2022. If you weren’t part of the closed alpha then keep an eye out for your chance to earn a code via Twitch Drops.

MultiVersus‘ upcoming Open Beta will feature eight different maps that include The Batcave, Scooby’s Haunted Mansion, and Adventure Time’s Tree Fort. Players will also have access to various game modes such as 2v2 team-based co-op, free-for-all, and co-op vs. A.I. This along with custom online lobbies, practice mode, tutorials, and local play will be available during the Early Access and Open Beta.

MultiVersus does not have a set release date but is set to arrive this year on PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The Open Beta period will begin on July 26th, 2022. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
