Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins Invincible Animated Series at Prime Video
Prime Video is bringing some more star power to their original animated series. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined Invincible at the streamer and will reunite with The Walking Dead co-star Steven Yeun. The series has been a hit since it premiered in early 2021 and as fans eagerly await the arrival of season 2 which just got its first teaser trailer, Morgan took to social media to share the announcement of his casting.
The image shows Morgan with two compendiums for the Image Comics series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. If the particular compendiums in the photo are any indication, Morgan could have a role in the upcoming two seasons. His social media post teasing his casting came alongside a caption saying:
“Doing a little reading. Thanks to #robertkirkman.”
The series follows Mark Grayson as he traverses the life of a high schooler and just so happens to be the son of the most famous superhero Omni-Man. As his powers begin to manifest, season one unraveled an action-packed, emotional first season. The series also stars Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Walton Goggins, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jason Mantzoukas, plus many more.
Invincible season 2 is set to release in 2023 but little is known about the plot or second season. Stay tuned as more information becomes available.
