Invincible Season 2 Teaser Trailer Gives Fans a Peek at Second Season of Acclaimed Animated Series

Prime Video has released a teaser trailer for Invincible Season 2. The trailer gives fans a peek at the next chapter of the animated adaptation of Robert Kirkman‘s hit comic book series. The highly-acclaimed series brought an action-packed and very bloody adaptation that won over millions of fans who have been waiting for any news on the upcoming season following Mark Grayson aka Invincible. The teaser trailer also gave us an estimated release window with the series set to premiere sometime in late 2023.

The teaser shows Mark and Allen the Alien catching up at a Burger Mart and recounts that Mark has been busy and goes on to explain the process of developing the series such as the storyboarding, writing, and animation all while we see the shots being displayed to us throughout the teaser. This follows with the reveal of a late 2023 release date. Although it doesn’t divulge much in the sense of what is coming in the second season, we do get glimpses of a few things.

The series was launched by Kirkman in 2003 who is renowned for his work in creating The Walking Dead which spawned the series adaptation and led to the TWD universe that continues to grow even after seeing the flagship series end late last year. The comic series which Kirkman wrote with art by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley follows Mark Grayson, the 17-year-old son of the world’s most powerful superhero who sees himself becoming the titular hero after discovering his newly awakened superhero abilities. No hero’s journey comes with conflict and season one delivered plenty of conflict, drama, heartbreak, and blood.

The series stars Steven Yeun, J.K. Simmons, Jason Mantzoukas, Sandra Oh, Mark Hamill, Seth Rogen, Zazie Beetz, Grey Griffin, Kevin Michael Richardson, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Zachary Quinto, Andrew Rannells, Khary Payton, Melise, Ross Marquand, Chris Diamantopoulos, Clancy Brown, and Mahershala Ali. The series was co-created by Kirkman alongside Walker and Ottley with Kirkman, Rogen, Evan Goldberg, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, and Simon Racioppa executive producing. Racioppa also serves as showrunner.

Invincible season 2 will arrive exclusively on Prime Video in late 2023.
