Amazon‘s hit series adaptation of The Boys is on the heels of one of the craziest and most intense seasons yet and they are currently in production of the upcoming season 4. Throughout that time, Eric Kripke has been playing to the rumors of another Supernatural alum joining the forthcoming season. It has now been revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will join The Boys season 4 reuniting him with Kripke. He now joins the other announced castings of Valorie Curry and Susan Heyward who also join the series as it films in Toronto.

Morgan is known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy as well as his time working with Kripke on The CW‘s Supernatural and has for the last few years, played the iconic and villainous role of Negan in The Walking Dead which he will continue to reprise in the upcoming spinoff series Dead City. He also joins another Supernatural alum who reunited with Kripke in season 3 with Jensen Ackles playing Soldier Boy in the series. The pair worked together playing father and son in Supernatural with Morgan playing John Winchester to Ackles’ Dean Winchester.
No details have been shared about who Morgan will play in the series but he will have a recurring role. He joins an impressive returning cast of Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit.
The Boys season 4 does not currently have a release date, but you can catch the series’ first three seasons on Prime Video.
