Sony Productions Announces God of War and Horizon Series in Development
Sony has announced a trio of new PlayStation Productions series in development. After the successful run of Uncharted in theaters, The Last of Us series working its way to HBO, and the recently announced Jak and Daxter film in the works, Sony seems primed to build off that success by announcing that God of War, Horizon, and Gran Turismo will have series adaptations coming our way.
The previously rumored God of War series is reportedly being developed for Amazon, while the Horizon series will be headed to Netflix. The Gran Turismo series does not have a streaming service attached. These are three high-profile franchises that have immense potential to be successful.
The report from VGC states that Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra confirmed that the three series are in development during a recent business briefing. Prime Video will have the rights to God of War with Netflix nabbing the rights to Horizon and Gran Turismo is still waiting to see where it will call home. No other details were announced regarding the series.
With the development of the three series barely announced, there is not much else to say about them other than the confirmation that they will arrive sometime in the future. Stay tuned as more information becomes available.
