Ghostbusters: Back in Town Will Bridge Gap Between Afterlife & Frozen Empire With Dark Horse Series
Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a new four-issue series called Ghostbusters: Back in Town. This series serves as a bridge between Ghostbusters: Afterlife and its upcoming sequel Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Frozen Empire just released its first trailer recently showing the new and returning Ghostbusters would be heading back to the bustling New York City streets.
In Ghostbusters: Back in Town, our favorite ghostbusting team, Callie, Gary, Trevor, and Phoebe, are officially back in business and returning to where it all began: New York City! They are moving into the legendary Firehouse and are ready to continue the Spengler family business. However, dealing with both ghostbusting and changing family dynamics can lead to unexpected challenges, especially when a paranormal force is determined to cause havoc.
Written by David Booher, known for his work on Canto and Killer Queens, and featuring artwork by Blue Delliquanti, colors by Mildred Louis and Cris Peter, and letters by Jimmy Betancourt of Comicraft, Ghostbusters: Back in Town promises to continue the cultural phenomenon that we have loved since finding out just who ain’t afraid of no ghost. The first issue will have an incredible cover illustrated by Kyle Lambert, with a variant cover by Steve Morris.
Jason Reitman, director of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, expressed his excitement for the new series, stating, “Our friends at Dark Horse have brought the Spengler family to Manhattan, where they will embark on their journey back into Ghostbusting! I am thrilled to collaborate with this talented team of artists and storytellers as we delve into new chapters of the proton jungle.”
Ghostbusters: Back in Town will be available at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on March 27, 2024.
