Dawnrunner Introduces A Sci-Fi Epic from Dark Horse Comics

Dawnrunner, the latest sci-fi epic from Dark Horse Comics, takes readers on an exhilarating journey into a world plagued by giant monsters and epic battles. Helmed by comics superstars Ram V (author of The Many Deaths of Laila Starr) and Evan Cagle (known for his work on The Witcher), this series promises to deliver a thrilling reading experience.

In a universe forever altered by the arrival of the Tetza, colossal creatures that emerged through a portal in Central America a century ago, humanity’s survival hangs in the balance. The world’s collective efforts are now focused on constructing the Iron Kings, gigantic mechs designed to combat the Tetza in gladiatorial combat.

At the center is Anita Marr, renowned as the greatest pilot of the Iron Kings. Her exceptional skills are matched only by her selection to test a groundbreaking prototype named Dawnrunner. This revolutionary Iron King holds the potential to turn the tide of humanity’s struggle against the Tetza, offering a hope for a brighter future.

Along with interior art, Cagle will also provide the cover art and the creative team will be rounded out by colorist Dave Stewart, and letterer Aditya Bidikar, Dawnrunner is geared up to be a visual masterpiece that captures the essence of this extraordinary tale. Additionally, fans can look forward to five captivating variant cover versions of Issue #1, featuring art by Matias Bergara, Dike Raun, Tula Lotay, and more.

Dawnrunner will transport you into a high-stakes world of mechs, monsters, and humanity’s unwavering determination to survive when it arrives at your favorite local comic shop and digitally on March 20th, 2024.
