Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire First Trailer is Unleashed
Sony has released the highly-anticipated first official trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel. The Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire first trailer showcases the return of the Spengler family to the streets of New York City, providing fans with a thrilling glimpse of what’s to come.
The sequel takes place in the event after Ghostbusters: Afterlife and follows the story of Gary Grooberson, played by Paul Rudd, along with Callie Spengler (Carrie Coon), Trevor Spengler (Finn Wolfhard), and Phoebe Spengler (McKenna Grace), who are set to become full-fledged Ghostbusters. The trailer also reveals that these new recruits will be donning the iconic jumpsuits that were seen at the conclusion of the first film.
With a second Ice Age on the horizon, the rookie Ghostbusters will receive support from none other than two of the original team members. Ray Stantz, portrayed by Dan Aykroyd, and Winston Zeddemore, played by Ernie Hudson, will join forces with the new generation to combat this paranormal threat. Also joining the film are Bill Murray, William Atherton, and Celeste O’Connor.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Back in 2022, the Ghostbusters sequel was announced by writer Jason Reitman, who revealed through Twitter that the story would revolve around the iconic NYC firehouse. With the intriguing code name “FIREHOUSE,” fans are eager to see this beloved location in action once again. The film was directed by Gil Kenan, who collaborated with Reitman on writing the script.
