Mad Cave Studios Reveals Full 2024 Slate for Flash Gordon
Mad Cave Studios is gearing up to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Flash Gordon in a big way! The full 2024 Flash Gordon publishing program will be unveiled at ComicsPro.
Flash Gordon, an iconic American comic strip created and originally drawn by Alex Raymond, has truly stood the test of time and become a symbol of thrilling space adventures and heroic exploits. Since its debut in 1934, Flash Gordon has captivated readers worldwide with its dynamic storytelling and memorable characters.
Mad Cave Studios is set to release an exciting array of new material, including a new Flash Gordon ongoing series and related works such as the Defenders of the Earth trade paperback (1980s reprint), an all-new Defenders of the Earth miniseries, Flash Gordon Quarterly, classic newspaper strip hardcover collections, and a Flash Gordon Adventures! all-ages book from the publisher’s Papercutz imprint.
Chas! Pangburn, the Senior Editor at Mad Cave Studios, expressed excitement about the multigenerational appeal of Flash Gordon, stating:

Some got into the character through the serials and comics, while others have fond memories of TV shows and movies. The action-packed new series kicks off with Flash Gordon #0, which will be available on Free Comic Book Day 2024, and will feature cover artist Dan Panosian. The ongoing story continues in Flash Gordon #1, set to debut in July.
Fans can look forward to a thrilling race against time as Flash Gordon, Dale Arden, and Doctor Zarkov strive to thwart the villainous Ming the Merciless from unleashing the destructive power of the Unraveller, a device capable of unraveling objects to their subatomic structure in a single catastrophic burst of energy.
