Ahead of the release of Eternals, rumors suggest that a sequel may already be in the works at Marvel Studios
Eternals is set to release on November 5th, 2021, but according to new rumors that surfaced, that hasn’t stopped Marvel Studios from beginning early development of a sequel to the highly anticipated film.
Film pundit John Campea reported that The Eternals 2 is currently in development, along with 20 other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects in various stages. On Marvel Studios’ decision not to announce the upcoming movie, Campea explained that a contact stated,
“It’s basically the same reason Avengers 5 and Eternals 2 weren’t announced. They were only announcing those films up to 2023 that have verified release dates. There are over 20+ projects on the board.”
There you have it, whether this holds merit or not, it is too early to tell, but we do know that Marvel Studios always has the big picture in mind and is thinking 10 steps ahead as they set pieces for the next big event in the MCU.
