Dragon Age 4 in the Middle of Full Production According to Bioware
Bioware has made it a point to keep fans updated on the development of their upcoming titles. Last month they shared a blog post letting fans know the status of the studio and promising some Dragon Age updates. In today’s new blog post, Bioware made good on their word and updated fans on the development of the highly-anticipated Dragon Age 4.
According to Gary McKay, Bioware GM: Dragon Age 4 is currently in the middle of full production, saying:
“Our blueprint was completed last year, so we’re now focused on building out our vision: creating amazing environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, impactful writing, emotional cinematics – and much more. The blueprint for the game is well understood and the team is focused.”
These updates have been part of a new initiative from the developer to better communicate with fans and have the opportunity to communicate with them more often as they develop future projects. According to Bioware, fans can expect more updates on Dragon Age 4 in future blog posts and social media updates “later this year.” The post also bid Dragon Age 4‘s executive producer Christian Dailey farewell after his departure from the company.
The upcoming Mass Effect also got a notable mention from McKay as he reminds fans that the game will not be arriving anytime soon, saying:
“AAA next-gen games take a long time to make – and we know our fans may want them sooner. But our Number One priority needs to be quality, and that simply takes time to get it right.”
It’s not groundbreaking news, but this is a new way for developers to keep everyone, including fans in the loop of all the steps being taken to bring these titles to gold. It relieves any speculation of any possible rumors of delays or issues due to the lack of communication. There is no release window for Dragon Age 4 at this time. Stay tuned as more information becomes available.
