XINO #1 Preview: Oni Press Gets Inside Your Head and Under Your Skin with Preview of Upcoming Sci-Fi Series

Oni Press just released the first look at their newest and highly anticipated sci-fi comic, XINO #1. This 40-page oversized first issue will satisfy your science fiction appetite while also showcasing beautifully colorful art. XINO is a love letter to science-fiction and promises to take fans back to the company’s early days which brought us gems such as Kevin Smith and Matt Wagner’s Jay & Silent Bob or Neil Gaiman, P. Craig Russell and Troy Nixey’s Only the End of the World Again.

XINO will not be a double feature but will rotate stories in three issues. The first issue will include four stories by different writers/artists and the publisher has the first Xino #1 preview ready to give you a taste of what’s to come.

• “HUE” by Melissa Flores & Daniel Irizarri, as they surgically activate the hidden dimensions of the human senses.
• “THE CHIP” by Chris Condon (That Texas Blood) & Nick Cagnetti (Pink Lemonade), as they playtest the world’s first intravenous video game system.
• “RABBITS” by Jordan Thomas & Shaky Kane, who are surveilling the suburbs for signs of covert infiltration.
• And, last but not least, “SHE TOOK THE AIR” by master cartoonist and foundational Oni creator Phil Hester as he returns to the fold to let us know the kids of the future are alright.

On top of a star-studded interior XINO will feature a myriad of gorgeous covers and variants for you to choose from and collect. Cover A and B&W variant by Matt Lesniewski, Cover B and B&W variant by Andre Lima Araujo, Cover C by Matt Sheean and Malachi Ward, Cover D and B&W variant by Shaky Kane.

XINO #1 will be available on June 14. 2023 at your favorite local comic book shop.
