Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Release Date and Special Editions Revealed

Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja revealed the release date and special editions for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. The new title is making its way to Xbox and PC and bears a resemblance to another popular title from Team Ninja, Nioh. The title set in the Three Kingdoms era of China will be arriving in early 2023 with special editions available and Team Ninja also touched on the upcoming DLC coming to the highly-anticipated game.

The game’s description reads: 

“Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows the dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.” 

This will be a darker fantasy take on the Later Han Dynasty and the previously released trailers showcased the fast-paced stylish action that players will have at their disposal in the upcoming action game that combines a great horror atmosphere with Chinese swordplay.

The special editions will include digital rewards plus early purchase bonuses. Check out the details on the different editions available below:

Standard Edition

• Physical version of the game including the Baihu armor as an early purchase bonus.
• Digital version of the game including the Zhuque armor as a digital pre-order bonus and the Baihu armor as an early purchase bonus. 

Steelbook Launch Edition

• Steelbook launch edition of the game including Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a collector’s steelbook, and the Crown of Zhurong and Crown of Gonggong bonus DLC. It will also include the Baihu armor as an early purchase bonus. 

Digital Deluxe Edition

• The digital deluxe edition includes a digital copy of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a digital art book, a digital mini soundtrack, and the game’s season pass. It will also include the Quinglong armor as a season pass bonus, the Baihu armor as an early purchase bonus, and the Zhuque armor as a digital pre-order bonus. 

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will include three DLC content drops included in the season pass but no details have been released by Team Ninja. Of course, the DLC drops will also be available on their own as well but as mentioned above, if you do purchase the season pass, you will get access to the Qinglong armor as a bonus reward.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 3, 2023. Fallen Dynasty will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass on day one.
