Universal Is Teaming Up With Fortnite For A Classic Monsters Miniseries – The miniseries will debut in Fortnite during the Shortnightmares festival
Universal Pictures andEpic Gamesare teaming up to feature an animated mini-series featuring Univeral’s classic monsters. The mini-series will debut in the battle royale game, Fortnite. The Universal monster line has been iconic and a staple in the horror genre since Dracula sunk his teeth into the movie scene in the 1930s. Since then, we have seen the likes of The Mummy, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Invisible Man, and more. There have been recent efforts to bring the Universal Monsterverse to life, most recently in the Dark Universe that failed to reach mainstream success.
THR confirmed that Universal Picturesand Epic Games partnered up to produce the animated mini-series and it will be called We Will Be Monsters. The mini-series is set to take Universal’s classic movie monsters and reinterpret them for a modern audience. The series will be made up of 4 episodes, the first will feature the count himself, Dracula, and the Bride of Frankenstein. This will all go down within the game Fortnite during their Shortnitemares Festival on October 28th, 2021 with the other episodes arriving in early 2022.
