The Winchesters Trailer Takes Us Back To Where the Family Business Began with More Demon Hunting
The CW has released a trailer for the upcoming series The Winchesters. It was just last week that the network gave a series order to the Supernatural prequel series and earlier today, a first look photo was released. Now, fans were treated to a full trailer showing everything coming our way as we look back at how the family business got started for the demon-hunting Winchester family.
The trailer description reads:
“Before Sam and Dean, there was John and Mary. Told from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester, this is the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary, and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.”
The trailer is narrated by Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), and the opening moments show the fan-favorite hunter leaning on the iconic Impala as he writes in his journal and lets viewers know that his journey is to find out the truth behind his parents meeting and if the love of the “family business” or other reasons was the glue that brought them together.
The series will star Drake Rodger as John Winchester and Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell. The series was created by Ackles and his wife, Danneel Ackles. They will serve as executive producers alongside series writer Robbie Thompson, and Glen Winter. The series will also star Demetria McKinney, Nida Khurshi, Jojo Fleites, and Bianca Kajlich.
There is no release date for The Winchesters currently but with enough footage to whip up a trailer already in hand, we could expect to get a release date announced soon. Check out the trailer below:
