The Bondsman: Kevin Bacon Will Play Undead Bounty Hunter in Prime Video Series
Prime Video and Blumhouse Productions have revealed that Kevin Bacon will lead an upcoming action horror series titled The Bondsman. The iconic actor will take on the role of an undead bounty hunter in the eight-episode series that has gotten a straight-to-series order from the streamer already.

The Bondsman‘s synopsis reads:
“[The Bondsman] centers on Hub Halloran (Bacon), a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career — only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist.”
Variety reported that Bacon will lead the series from writer and executive producer Grainger David with Erik Oleson on board as showrunner for the Amazon Studios series. Jason Blum, Paul Shapiro, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Chris Dickie will executive produce the series.
The series is full of intrigue and potential especially with Blumhouse and Amazon Studios teaming up with the likes of Bacon to lead this series. Although he is well-known for his role in Footloose. Bacon has had his hand in many different horror projects in different genres from Friday the 13th, Tremors, Stir of Echoes, Hollow Man, the indie hidden gem You Should Have Left, and my personal favorite The Following.
The series is currently wrapped up in the WGA strike which has the series on hold and the continued strikes coming our way including SAG could potentially push the series even further from its currently projected late 2024 release although no official release date has been given for the series.
Stay tuned for more information on The Bondsman as it becomes available.
