The Witcher: Wild Animals Brings New Foes and A New Land in New Dark Horse Series
Dark Horse Comics has announced a new limited series in collaboration with CD Projekt Red titled The Witcher: Wild Animals. The new series expanding the ever-growing universe of The Witcher finds Geralt in a new land and facing off against new foes. The series is penned by Bartosz Sztybor with art by Nataliia Rerekina who is making their U.S. comics debut, colorist Patricio Delpeche, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.
Dark Horse‘s description of Wild Animals reads:
Fan-favorite witcher Geralt is no stranger to jobs gone wrong, but washing ashore on a strange new land forces him into a conflict between the hunters who took him in and a mysterious clan known to kill humans. Where man and creatures coexist, there is an unspoken rule—one where the skills of a witcher go beyond killing monsters.
Although the limited series will bring the feel of the classic adventures we often find Geralt in. This series will take readers to a new land where humans and creatures coexist. For a monster hunter, what problems to this lead to as he also deals with a mysterious clan who is known to slay humans as if they were no better than the monsters Geralt slays?
As the publisher continues to build on the beloved game series from the developer. This is just one of many avenues that have opened up the world of Geralt and The Witcher universe as we continue to see games, comics, and small-screen adaptations feature the world of this captivating character and story.
The Witcher: Wild Animals #1 will be available at your favorite local comic shops and digitally on September 20, 2023.
