The pair nabbed the lead roles for the future of the DCU after they made it down to the final list of talent and auditioned in full costume and makeup in front of Safran and Gunn. Recent headlines have seen many studios back out of Hall H at next month’s San Diego Comic-Con and its still unclear if Warner Bros. will attend but if they do all eyes are sure to be on them as they have much less competition at the convention with notables such as Netflix and Marvel backing out this year.

This will be a test for the young talent as Corenswet is walking into his biggest role yet. He is undoubtedly a talented star giving strong performances in The Politician, We Own This City, and Pearl, and now we will see him play our favorite Kryptonian for the foreseeable future as Gunn and Safran begin to lay out the next phase of their 10 year DCU plan.

Brosnahan has seen the limelight as of late thanks to her stellar performance in Prime Video‘s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel which nabbed her an Emmy nomination and win. The pair certainly have the look and fit the bill and to impress the likes of Gunn and Safran is saying something. This should be the first of many exciting announcements about the film and the future of the DCU.
