Persuasion Trailer Showcases An Emotional Journey Starring Dakota Johnson
Netflix has released a trailer for the upcoming film Persuasion. The romantic period drama will follow Anne Elliot (Dakota Johnson) during the unfolding of her love life and the second chance at love for the young Englishwoman with the man she loved during her youth. The film is an adaptation of the novel by Jane Austen of the same name.

Netflix‘s synopsis of the film reads:
“Living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy, Anne Elliot is an unconforming woman with modern sensibilities. When Frederick Wentworth, the dashing one she let get away, crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances. Adapted from the Jane Austen novel.”
The film was helmed by director Carrie Cracknell from a screenplay written by Alice Victoria Winslow and Ron Bass. The film was produced by Christina Weiss Lurie, Andrew Lazar, and Elizabeth Cantillon. Starring alongside Johnson will be Cosmo Jarvis, Henry Golding, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Richard E. Grant.
Persuasion will premiere exclusively on Netflix on July 15th, 2022. Check out the trailer below:
