Paramount+ Renews 1923 for Second Season
Paramount+ has announced that their latest original hit 1923 has been renewed for a second season. The series just returned from its hiatus with fans ready for much more story to tell in the lives of the Dutton family. The series starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren has some long-term events in store for us as they continue to survive through many different hardships including the prohibition era, a pandemic, and drought.
The announcement came straight from Paramount and as well as Taylor Sheridan‘s Sheridan-Verse has performed on all aspects and connected series, this is not much of a surprise especially considering the draw the spinoff series had with over 7M viewers across all Paramount platforms.
1923 now joins the flagship series Yellowstone led by Kevin Costner and the previously released prequel series 1883 which starred Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Sam Elliott. The buzz around the rumor mill is that we may see the end of the flagship series with a season 5 finale but there is no word on what truth that may carry but I doubt that would keep the universe from expanding with a generation of Duttons that could be the center of a story in any era. There is also another spinoff in the works already with 1883: The Bass Reeves Story which goes to show how dedicated and expansive Sheridan can make this line of cowboys.
1923 still has three more episodes left in its first season after the premiere of “Ghost of Zebrina” last night and you can check them all out exclusively on Paramount+.
