Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches Renewed for a Second Season
AMC has announced that Anne Rice‘s Mayfair Witches has been renewed for a second season. The series is only four episodes in and has already earned the confidence of the network as it casts a spell on viewers with its faithful adaptation of Rice’s works. This makes the second adaptation at the network to win over audiences as Interview with the Vampire was also another hit and earned itself a season 2 renewal. The Rice-Verse looks to be shaping up and would be interesting if these could somehow crossover in some shape or form.
The series starring Alexandra Daddario became the most-viewed season of any series on the AMC+ streaming platform in the first 30 days on the platform. The series is inspired by the Rice novel trilogy Lives of Mayfair Witches. Daddario plays a neurosurgeon who lives an average life until she begins experiencing supernatural abilities and it all leads to the revelation that she is the next heir in line to a family of witches.
The series also stars Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, Annabeth Gish, and Beth Grant. The series is executive produced by Mark Johnson and Esta Spalding. Spalding promised in a statement, they’ve only barely begun exploring the epic tale of the family of witches.
No premiere date is set for the second season of Mayfair Witches but you can catch season 1 of the series on AMC and AMC+.
