Slippin’ Jimmy: Better Call Saul Animated Prequel Series Available Now on AMC+
AMC+ has released key art for the Better Call Saul animated prequel series Slippin’ Jimmy. The six-part animated spinoff series will feature a child Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill in a family-friendly prequel of the series featuring Saul’s con skills being honed at a young age. Jim and Marco are still in school and at the beginning of their longtime friendship, the duo of con artists shares. The key art shows both characters in their school uniforms alongside a new character. Judging from the mean look, I would say Jim and Marco are up to no good at their expense.
Here’s the synopsis for Slippin’ Jimmy:
“Slippin’ Jimmy follows the misadventures of a young Jimmy McGill and his childhood friends in Chicago, Illinois. Told in the style of classic 70s-era cartoons, each episode is an ode to a specific movie genre — from spaghetti westerns and Buster Keaton to The Exorcist. Voice talent includes Chi McBride, Laraine Newman and Sean Giambrone, among others.”
Slippin’ Jimmy stars Sean Giambrone, Will Vought, David Herman, Gary Anthony Williams, and Jasmine Gatewood. The series was written by Better Call Saul writers Ariel Levine and Kathleen Williams-Foshee.
