Oni Press Teams Up with LibraryPass to Bring Their Titles to Libraries and Schools Nationwide
LibraryPass has partnered with Oni Press to make their digital catalog accessible to libraries and schools through Comics Plus. This collaboration aims to consolidate the backlist titles from Lion Forge Comics and provide readers with a vast collection of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga. The use of Comics Plus allows for unlimited simultaneous access to these materials for both online and offline reading.
Guy LeCharles Gonzalez, the Chief Content Officer at LibraryPass, expressed excitement about expanding their diverse collection to include all of Oni’s excellent backlist titles. He also mentioned that they are eagerly anticipating the release of Oni Press’s upcoming works.

Spencer Simpson, the VP of Sales at Oni Press, echoed this sentiment and expressed pride in partnering with LibraryPass and Comics Plus. He commended their work in the educational and public library sectors and emphasized the power of graphic storytelling in engaging students and library patrons. Spencer also highlighted various popular titles from Oni Press, such as Tea Dragon Society, Mooncakes, and The Sixth Gun, along with upcoming releases like The Happy Shop, Covenant, and Hobtown Mystery Stories.
The Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group publishes over 60 original and licensed graphic novels annually, alongside an extensive list of periodical comics. Many notable titles from Oni Press are already available on Comics Plus, including Action Journalism, Gender Queer, No Ivy League, Puerto Rico Strong, Sheets, and Upgrade Soul. In the coming months, additional titles will be added, including the complete collection of Scott Pilgrim.

Oni Press was founded in 1997 and has a longstanding reputation as a highly respected publisher of award-winning comic books and graphic novels. Having brought fan-favorite titles titles like Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley, Tea Dragon Society by K. O’Neill, The Sixth Gun by Cullen Bunn & Brian Hurtt, Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe, Upgrade Soul by Ezra Claytan Daniels, and the Sheets trilogy by Brenna Thummler.
In 2019, Oni Press merged with Lion Forge Comics, resulting in the creation of one of the largest independent libraries of comics content. This merger established the Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group, which operates as a subsidiary of Polarity, a diversified global media company founded by David Steward II, an Academy Award-winning producer and entrepreneur.
