Oni Press has unveiled a first look into the upcoming series that kicks off with Invasive #1. The gripping series, created by Eisner Award nominee Cullen Bunn and acclaimed illustrator Jesús Hervás, takes readers into a sinister and thrilling world that will send shivers down to your bones.

Follow Dr. Carrie Reynolds, a skilled trauma surgeon with unparalleled expertise in the realm of muscle and bone. However, her life veers into chaos when her daughter, Heather, an addict in recovery from plastic surgery, mysteriously disappears and later reappears in a catatonic state, with her vocal cords inexplicably removed.

Heather becomes a part of a string of victims who have all suffered from sadistic medical procedures, leaving the police baffled and a growing number of once-ordinary people mutilated or even deceased upon arrival. Beneath the city’s streets, a sinister subterranean hospital has opened its doors. Deep within its walls, there are no rules, no oaths, and no boundaries that can’t be crossed.

A new breed of surgeons has emerged, pushing the boundaries of accepted medical practices, one incision at a time. Armed with scalpels, they turn dark alleyways into their operating theaters, using murder as their twisted medicine. Only Carrie possesses the power to put an end to their unholy agenda.

INVASIVE #1 will feature covers by Hervás, Luana Vecchio, Brian Level, and Jae Lee. This debut issue marks the highly anticipated first installment in the ONI 2024 lineup, a collection of five exhilarating monthly comic series curated by a talented roster of award-winning creators and rising stars. These series were unveiled at New York Comic-Con this year.
