Skybound Reveals First Look at Universal Monsters: Dracula #2

Skybound has revealed the first look at Universal Monsters: Dracula #2. The second issue, set to hit comic book shops on November 22, 2023, continues the thrilling four-issue limited series created by James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds.

In Universal Monsters: Dracula #2, readers will witness Lucy Weston’s struggle with a mysterious ailment while Dr. Seward enlists the help of Professor Abraham Van Helsing. Dracula’s insatiable thirst for blood remains unquenched, adding to the suspenseful narrative.

As an homage to the original Universal Pictures film from 1931, this series introduces beloved characters such as R.M. Renfield, Mina Seward, Doctor John Seward, and Van Helsing himself. Tynion IV and Simmonds offer fresh twists, chilling encounters, and explore the dark corners of these iconic villains’ stories.

Excitingly, the first issue of Universal Monsters: Dracula has already sold out at the distributor level, demonstrating its immediate success. If you don’t want to miss out, be sure to secure your copy of the remaining few issues at your local comic shop before they’re gone or await a potential second printing.

Don’t miss our interview with Tynion IV and Simmonds in collaboration with Blake’s Buzz and Metal Ninja Studios. They discuss the unique challenges of adapting such an influential character from literature and film/TV and the excitement that has been built around the series.
