New Secret Invasion Trailer Unveils Nick Fury’s Fight to Save Earth

Marvel Studios has released the Secret Invasion trailer unveiling Nick Fury’s (Samuel L. Jackson) fight to save planet Earth. The MCU’s Phase 5 has officially launched with the recent release of Ant-Man and The Was: Quantumania and will encompass Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels, Loki season 2 but nothing carries the excitement as Secret Invasion as the possibilities of what could be adapted is up to par with Civil War.

Nick Fury has returned from space and we see the war for Earth that will seemingly only escalate from the preview we got in the trailer that sees Fury working to stop the Skrulls. Fury has been gone for 3 years and from the initial conversation he has with Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), he has disconnected himself from many allies while he was away and now comes back to an Earth where we don’t know who is a friend or who is a foe.

Marvel Studios‘ synopsis of Secret Invasion reads:

“Set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.”

Starring alongside Jackson and Smulders will be Ben Mendelsohn, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald, Katie Finneran, Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, and Don Cheadle. The series is helmed by Ali Selim with executive producers Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Jackson, Selim, Kyle Bradstreet, and Brian Tucker. The series was penned by Bradstreet.

Secret Invasion will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on June 21, 2023, with a six-episode run.
