Extraction 2 Trailer Delivers More Chris Hemsworth-Led Action Ahead of Summer Premiere

Netflix has released the official Extraction 2 trailer and it shows off more Chris Hemsworth-led action in the upcoming film as the summer release date as he reprises his role as Tyler Rake. Rake returns from the dead and the black ops mercenary is headed into another deadly mission as he works to rescue a family from a Georgian gangster after barely surviving the events of the first film.

Netflix‘s synopsis of Extraction 2 reads:

” After barely surviving the events of the first movie, Rake is back as the Australian black ops mercenary, tasked with another deadly mission: rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held”

The film will see Hemsworth star alongside Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Olga Kyrylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tnatin Dalakishvili. The film is helmed by Sam Hargrave from a story by Ande Parks, Joe & Anthony Russo which is adapted by the graphic novel Ciudad by Parks. The film is produced by the Russos, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Hemsworth, Patrick Newall, and Sam Hargrave.

Extraction featured very entertaining and complex action shots when it premiered on the streaming platform and they look to go bigger in Extraction 2 as the teaser trailer previously released showed off their ambitious attempt at a 21-minute one-take action sequence. This is only one of the highlight moments we can expect in the film and with the Russo Brothers in the mix writing the screenplay and producing. The film finds itself with talent both behind and in front of the camera that should effortlessly deliver another action-packed film that will top the previous film without that being the goal.

Extraction 2 will premiere exclusively on Netflix on June 16, 2023.
