New Resident Evil Series Trailer Unveils More of the Undead Horror Awaiting Us This July
Netflix has released a new trailer for their upcoming Resident Evil series. The new trailer unpacks some of the undead horror coming to the original series at the streamer. With the main plotline set aside, Netflix is looking to introduce viewers to new characters and a new world that has been affected by the undead outbreak.
Here’s the synopsis for Resident Evil:
“Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.“
The trailer gives us a better look at Jade, this time seen in action fighting a horde of undead. The series is set in the future, the year 2036 specifically. Jade recounts the T-Virus being unleashed in 2022 while they were in Racoon City. The series will focus on both timelines, giving fans a look a the outbreak and also the current state of the world.
The series stars Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Lance Reddick, Ahad Raza Mir, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti, and Turlough Convery.Andrew Dabb serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series is written and executive produced by Mary Leah, Robert Kulzer, and Oliver Berben.
