New Prey Trailer Unveils the Action-Packed Predator Prequel Film

20th Century Studios & Hulu have released a new trailer for the upcoming Predator prequel film, Prey. The fifth film in the Predator franchise marks the first prequel film as director, Dan Trachtenberg takes us to the southern plains of Comanche Nation. The film takes place in 1719 and will focus on a young woman hoping to become a Comanche warrior. Looking to prove herself, she goes out to hunt a bear and this is where she will cross paths with the Predator.

With the film focusing on Naru’s journey to become a warrior for her tribe and also looking to survive what is sure to be a deadly encounter with the Predator, the film seems much more grounded than previous entries while giving off a survival/horror energy. Predator has taken on many foes who have all been equipped with different forms of firepower, but can these Comanche warriors rely on their skills to survive to withstand the advanced onslaught of the Predator?

The film stars Amber Midthunder, Dane DiLiegro, Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Stefany Mathias, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope. The screenplay was written by Patrick Aison and will be based on the world of Predator who was created by Jim and John Thomas.

Prey will premiere on Hulu on August 5th, 2022. Check out the new trailer below:
