New HALO INFINITE Trailer Puts The Spotlight On The New Villain Master Chief Will Be Taking On
Halo Infinite is nearing its way to fans of the sci-fi FPS franchise from 343 Industries and MicrosoftStudios. As more information has become available, we were just treated to a new trailer. This new trailer puts the spotlight on the new villain that Master Chief will be going up against.
In the new trailer titled The Banished Rise, we meet the villain Escharum. He gives us a monologue about the impending defeat that will befall humanity. We also see Master Chief’s iconic armor being constructed while Escharum continues to give us his spiel with video cuts of Escharum cutting in and out. While he essentially trash-talks our hero and protagonist, we see the armor be constructed to completion and the empty Spartan armor lights up, ready for our hero and player alike to step into the shoes of Master Chief and take the fight to our new foe.
The Banished are a group of mercenaries that have banded together to rebel against the Covenant as a result of the Human-Covenant War. The Banished were the enemy in a previous Halo title, Halo Wars 2, and make their grande return for Halo Infinite. This time, they have successfully taken over Zeta Halo, which some of you who do not know, the the “Halo” in which the game takes place.
the personal threat to humanity in the trailer reads:
“Hope. It makes you weak,” Escharum says. “Humanity clings to the belief that a savior will come. That a hero will rise, shrouded in armor, to save you. It won’t. Armor can be broken. Bodies, shattered. When you look back on these last days, you will realize that all you built was a tomb. A place where hope dies.”
Halo Infinite will arrive on December 8th, 2021 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game will also launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Check out the trailer below:
