Mayans M.C. Renewed for Season 5 at FX
FX has announced that the hit series Mayans M.C. has been renewed for season 5 at the network. After an explosive season and the stakes growing higher in the Sons of Anarchy spinoff series, it is no surprise to see the network go all in for another season as fans continue to be glued to their screens in anticipation of what will happen to the California club.
During their panel appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, Mayans M.C. broke the news of the upcoming season coming in 2023 with Nick Grad, president, original programming, FX Entertainment has this to say about the renewal:
“The Mayans have battled for respect, territory and power through four intense seasons that have set the stage for an explosive fifth season that will test their very survival under ‘EZ’s’ newly claimed leadership. Elgin James and the creative team, the brilliant cast, crew and our partners at 20th Television have kept fans coming back for more and we are ready to take that ride with them for another season.”
The series stars J. D. Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Richard Cabral, Danny Pino, Manny Montana, and Edward James Olmos. New cast members Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, and Vincent “Rocco” Vargas will join them.
The series will premiere on the FX network and also stream on Hulu. Kurt Sutter has been replaced as showrunner by Elgin James. Sutter and James co-created the series together. Hilton Smith will serve as executive producer on the series.
Mayans M.C. season 5 will premiere on FX in 2023. All episodes of the first four seasons are available to stream on Hulu right now.
