Marc Guggenheim Talks About the Spark That Flipped the Pages from TV Back to Comics
Marc Guggenheim stopped in for Fandom Sessions to geek out over superheroes and comics. Marc has spent years putting his creative mind into bringing to life many TV projects such as Law & Order and also had his hand in adapting the CW‘s ArrowTV series which spawned the entire Arrowverse that has stood strong for years and will finally work towards its finale.
Another passion of Marc’s has always been comics and he has also had his hand in penning comics with many different publishers including Marvel and DC Comics. He now looks to roll into the new year with more titles after releasing two fascinating series with two of our favorite publishers Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics.
Too Dead To Die: A Simon Cross Thriller came to Image with art by Howard Chaykin and Fragmentation at Dark Horse featuring the art of Justin Greenwood which introduces a brand-new universe of superheroes. He also brought readers Last Flight Out also at Dark Horse with artist Eduardo Ferigato. These titles were in part born out of the pandemic as Marc mentions that he was able to devote time to writing comics during the pandemic in 2020 which hit shortly after he had re-dedicated himself to creating creator-owned comics in a bigger way.
Next up for Marc will be Torrent, another brand-new superhero universe that features Crackerjack. A happy-go-lucky hero who delves into vigilantism after a tragedy blurs the line between hero and vigilante. Marc will take on this adventure with the help of artist Justin Greenwood, colorist Rico Renzi, and letterer Keith Wood.
