Forspoken Has Been Delayed to October
The upcoming magic-based RPG, Forspoken has been delayed to October. The announcement comes from Square Enix and Luminous Productions. Originally set to release on May 24th, 2022, the game now aims to arrive on October 11th, 2022. Luminous Productions mentioned in the announcement that they needed more time to work on the RPG to fully deliver on the promise of its vision for the game.
The social media post reads:
“We have made the decision to move the release date of Forspoken to October 11, 2022,” Luminous Productions writes. “Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us. To that end, during the next few months, we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can’t wait for you to experience Frey’s journey this fall.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to sharing more about Forspoken with you soon.”
Even with the commonality of delays the last few years, it’s never easy to hear of a game being delayed. Especially with a highly-anticipated game that is set to give fans a unique experience such as Forspoken. It’s admirable of the developer to be open about something as easily explainable as needing more time. Expect Forspoken to deliver some magic to PlayStation 5 and PC on October 11th, 2022.
